Terms, in plain English

You are trusting Rang with a year of planning and with records your principal reads, so here is the other half of that bargain — written to be read, not scrolled past.

Who provides Rang

Streamlined Digital Tech Ltd, registered in Ireland, company number 805162, Castleblakeney, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. Questions, problems, or anything these terms don’t answer: streamlinedtechai@gmail.com — a person reads it.

What it costs now, and what it will cost

Rang is free while it is in early access. No payment system is connected, so Rang cannot charge you: there is nowhere in it to enter a card, and no card details exist. The planned price is EUR 10 a month with a 14-day free trial.

Nothing will ever be charged without you setting up payment yourself. When paid plans arrive, you will get at least 30 days’ notice by email, and an account that never adds a payment method is never charged — it simply stays on whatever free allowance exists then. Signing up in early access does not commit you to paying later.

Your work is yours

Everything you put into Rang — plans, lessons, ticks, notes, signed records — belongs to you. Two ways to take it away exist today, and both stay available whether or not you ever pay: every document prints to A4 with no logo and no watermark, and Settings has a Download everything button that writes one file holding your class, calendar, books, plans, every lesson with its tick, and every signed Cúntas exactly as you signed it.

If paid plans arrive and you choose not to pay, your data is not deleted and not held hostage: you keep the ability to read, print and download what you made. Details of what a free account can edit after that point will be in the pricing notice, but taking your own work away will never be behind the paywall.

Material from your publisher

Some publishers write a yearly plan and unit plans to go with their books. Those are the publisher’s, not ours and not yours, and Rang does not hand them out.

If you have your own copy, you can upload it and Rang will read it into your own planning. When you do, you are telling us that you or your school holds a licence for that material and that you are using it for your own planning. It stays in your account. We do not show it to another Rang account, we do not put it in Rang’s shared book list, and we do not use it to build anything for anyone else.

You can take it out at any time from Settings and it goes. If a publisher or a rights holder asks us to remove something, we will remove it and tell you which of your uploads it was.

What goes is your book’s own notes and the weeks Rang read. The topics you put on your long-term plan stay, because they are your planning, and anything you marked as taught keeps the words that were on the page when you ticked it, because a record of teaching is never rewritten.

What you write yourself around it is yours, under “Your work is yours” above. Your book’s own words stay your publisher’s, and Rang holds them for you rather than giving them to you.

What Rang promises, and what it does not

Rang is planning software, not an authority. The curriculum content it drafts from is the NCCA’s, reused under CC BY 4.0 and attributed where it appears. Anything you import from a publisher’s plan is that publisher’s, and is labelled as theirs. Checking that a plan or a record meets your school’s and your inspector’s expectations stays your professional judgement. Rang is offered as it stands, in active development, and while it is in early access it comes with no service-level promise — what it does come with is honesty on the page about what is built and what is not, and no version history: a deleted topic or an unticked lesson is gone, so the download button above is your undo.

What would get an account closed

Using Rang to attack it or other teachers’ data — probing other accounts, defeating the usage ceilings on the AI readers, automated scraping. That is the whole list of what we would close an account for. Nothing you plan or write is on it. Uploading material you do not hold a licence for is not something we police, and it is not a reason we close an account; it is a thing we would have to remove if the rights holder asked.

Closing your account

Write to the address above and your account and everything in it is deleted — really deleted, as the data statement describes. Download your copy first; deletion is not reversible.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters — money, ownership of your work, deletion — you get an email before it takes effect, not a silently edited page. This page carries no date games: it was written on 10 August 2026 and any material change will say so here.

Honest about this page. Like the data statement, this was written by the people who wrote the code, in plain English, and has not been reviewed by a solicitor. It is the bargain as actually intended and operated. If your school needs formal terms to procure against, ask — that is useful to know.
